ASIS Promotes P3 (Public-Private Partnership) Day Resolution

I'm pleased to share the great news that the ASIS Global Board of Directors has unanimously approved a Resolution formally creating a global Public Safety-Private Security Day, or colloquially, a P3 (Public-Private Partnerships) Day. The purpose of the P3 Day initiative is to designate one day during the calendar year when ASIS chapters, along with public safety leaders and their private security partners, can plan a luncheon or other event to commemorate and celebrate the many benefits of P3s. This P3 Day formalization will not only further the exposure of private security to public safety, but it will also provide positive press for public safety as well as private security to the public. Leaders from the International Association of Chiefs of Police and the National Sheriffs Association have both indicated strong support to establish a P3 Day and have agreed to work hand-in-hand with ASIS on the P3 Day initiative.

Thank you to @Tom Conley CPP@James Gaudet CPP and @James Roberts CPP for their leadership on this effort!
